Management of Portfolio Foundation & Practitioner

What is it about?

This Management of Portfolio (MoP) course is designed for delegates who require the capability to successfully implement portfolio management.

Portfolio management is a coordinated collection of strategic processes and decisions that together enable the most effective balance of organisational change and ‘business as usual’.

MoP is structured around five (5) flexible principles within which the two cycles and the 12 portfolio management practices exist. Differing from most methods, portfolio management principles, cycles and practices are used concurrently.

It provides the theory, techniques and tools necessary to manage a portfolio, enabling clear understanding of the Portfolio Management cycles, practices and techniques and the organisational context within which they operate.

How is the course presented?

    Our experienced internationally accredited trainers deliver interactive and practical experiences through:

  • Classroom
  • Virtual instructor-led on Zoom (requires laptop and stable internet connection)
  • At your premises (for groups)
  • This is an intensive 4-day course:

  • Foundation – 2 days
  • Practitioner – 2 days
  • Based on demand, training is run during the week, on weekends or alternately during evenings.

How will I be examined?

    Foundation Exam: Multiple choice, one-hour, closed book exam. Delegates must obtain 60% (36 out of the 60 available marks).

    Practitioner Exam: Two and a half hour, multiple choice open-book exam, consisting of 58 questions. Delegates must obtain 60% (42 out of the 70 available marks).

    Exams can either be conducted as:

  • Classroom – online or paper based
  • Your premises – Peoplecert proctored with a voucher valid for 6 months
