Certified Cost Professional (CCP)

What is it about?

A CCP (Certified Cost Professional) is an experienced practitioner with advanced knowledge and technical expertise to apply the broad principles and best practices of Total Cost Management (TCM) in the planning, execution and management of any organizational project or program

CCPs also demonstrate the ability to research and communicate aspects of TCM principles and practices to all levels of project or program stakeholders, both internally and externally.

The Certified Cost Professional course is specifically aimed at preparing delegates to pass the AACE CCP Certification exam

As cost engineers on both the Technician and the Professional levels are often required to perform the same functions and require the same skills. The Certified Cost Technician and Certified Cost Professional courses cover the same materials.

How and when can I attend?

This cost course is an intensive 5 day course. Delegates will work through typical exam questions.

The Certified Cost Professional (CCP) exam is:

  • 5 hours maximum
  • 120 simple multiple choice and compound scenario questions
  • Closed Book – onscreen formula sheet(s) will be available for use, plus any style, battery operated calculator permitted (not provided by the testing centre)

The Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certificate is valid for 3 years and can be re-certified by either accumulating 12 CEUs or by taking and passing the exam again.
